We are currently investigating the theft of a motor vehicle taken from Exelby, Bedale, sometime between 21:30 hours on Sunday 11 January and 07:00 hours on Monday 12 January.

The vehicle, a silver Citroën Dispatch van, registration YG17FAU, was parked near the bus shelter by the village green when it was stolen.

We are asking local residents for any information that may help us identify those responsible and keep our community safe.

Do you have CCTV, doorbell camera or other video footage capturing the area?

Was your vehicle with a dash‑cam parked nearby that may have recorded activity before or after the incident?
